A return records what already happened. By the time the paperwork reaches an accountant in the spring, the year is closed and every choice that could have changed the number was made months earlier. This pillar is the work that happens while the year is still open.

⎯ The Four Levels
Tax planning is not a search for deductions. It is four separate levels of decision, and most families operate on one of them without knowing the other three exist.
Whether a dollar is spent pre-tax or post-tax. The difference between a deduction and a credit. Why your bracket is not your tax rate. These are not advanced ideas, and almost nobody has been walked through them.
The home office, the phone, the vehicle, the use of your own property — routes the code already allows for moving costs you are paying personally onto the business, properly documented. For employees, fewer levers, but timing, equity compensation and account placement remain.
Owner compensation set by analysis rather than habit. Retirement funded at business scale. Children on a real payroll for real work. A family management company where the facts support one. Ordinary structure, arranged deliberately.
Accelerated depreciation, energy credits, charitable structures. These move real money and carry real rules. They are not where anyone should start, and they are not right for everyone who can afford them.
Cash on cash. Every strategy is judged on this ratio before it is recommended, and most people have never been shown it. Illustrative only — the real figure depends entirely on the facts.
Efficiency is the default test.
It is not the only one.
A dollar deployed should remove more than a dollar of tax. That ratio is the measurement, and it is the first question asked of anything before it is recommended.
Some strategies are chosen knowing they return less per dollar, because the family owns something real at the end of them. Real estate and energy investments may be less efficient than a simpler move and still be the right answer.
And a small number can reach backwards, recovering tax already paid. For most planning a closed year is closed. That exception is the reason timing conversations cannot wait until filing season.
⎯ In practice
Not a different tax code. A different relationship with it.
written multi-year projection, revisited during the year, while the decisions that move it are still available to you.
Timing and character become choices
Which year income lands in, and what form it arrives as, stop being accidents of how the business happens to be set up.
Retirement funded at business scale. Legitimate costs carried properly. Family members compensated for real work, on defensible terms.
Nothing is improvised
Every position is designed, documented and supportable — so it holds up if it is ever examined, years after the return was filed.
⎯ How This Process Works
Three stages, in order. Nobody is asked to commit to the third before the first two have told them whether it is warranted.
Forty questions, five for each pillar. Ten minutes. It shows you where the gaps, leaks and risks are across your whole financial picture — whether or not you ever become a client.
A written plan built on your facts: what the gaps are costing, what closing them is worth, the order the work should happen in, and who does what.
The ongoing advisory relationship, with tax managed across the whole year rather than reported once. Scope is set by the firm after the Blueprint establishes what the circumstances require — not selected from a menu.
⎯ Pillar Boundaries
Tax, Entity and Protection use many of the same building blocks for entirely different jobs. Families get into trouble when one structure is asked to answer all three questions at once, and nobody checks whether it does.
Returns are prepared and positions are documented by the firm. This pillar is the planning that happens during the year, not the filing that records it afterwards.
this pillar
How much of each dollar do you keep, and in which year?
Does this change how the income is earned and taxed at all?
Does this change what a creditor could actually reach?
⎯ Client Services
The Assessment takes ten minutes and gives you the questions, not generic answers — because the right answers depend on your entity, your state, your assets and your family.
Self-Guided
Forty yes-or-no questions across all eight pillars. Ten minutes, complimentary, and yours to keep.
Guided
A short call to review where you stand and whether there is work worth doing. No preparation needed.

The Seats ⎯
Two retained seats.
One looks after your total net worth management.
The other puts me inside your business as its financial executive.
Personal advisory for you and your family — tax, wealth, estate, and entity decisions held together in one seat.
This isn't portfolio management. It's net worth management — both sides of your balance sheet: the businesses, the real estate, the debt, the concentrated positions.
I join your business as an embedded financial executive — one seat, held two ways.
A fraction of the cost, all of the judgment.
I earn most when you do — aligned all the way to the exit.
Many engagements begin as Fractional Executive and mature into Strategic Partner. Both hold the same seat.
Precision advisory for a single transaction — a sale, acquisition, capital raise, or restructuring. Success fee, no retainer.
All engagements are bespoke. Structure and compensation are settled in the first conversation — and only if a seat is open.
