This Privacy Policy applies to personal and financial information we collect through deencadi.cpa (the "Site"), our complimentary Wealth Resilience Assessment, our introductory-call scheduling, and our communications with prospective clients and visitors. Information we receive from clients in the course of a professional engagement is also governed by the written engagement letter and by the professional confidentiality standards that apply to certified public accountants.
We collect what is necessary to serve you, we protect it with care, and we do not sell your personal information.
02Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact details such as your name, email address, telephone number, and company or role, when you request an introductory call or contact us.
- Assessment responses you submit through the Wealth Resilience Assessment, including your answers across the eight pillars of tax, investment, estate, protection, entity, insurance, liquidity, and legacy.
- Engagement information, if you become a client, such as tax returns, ownership and entity records, account statements, insurance policies, estate documents, liquidity information, and stated objectives that we review as part of a Blueprint or ongoing work.
- Correspondence, including messages, call notes, and the content of any inquiry you send us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.
Information from third parties
With your authorization, we may receive information from your other professional advisors, such as attorneys, investment advisors, insurance professionals, and trustees, and from specialist or partner firms involved in your matter.
03How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and schedule introductory calls;
- generate your Wealth Resilience Assessment profile and determine appropriate next steps;
- evaluate whether an engagement is appropriate, prepare a Blueprint, and perform professional services under a signed engagement letter;
- operate, secure, and improve the Site and our client experience;
- communicate with you about our services, and, where you have asked or the law permits, send educational or practice updates;
- comply with legal, regulatory, professional, and recordkeeping obligations; and
- detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, impersonation, and other misuse.
04Tax Return Information
Federal law restricts how tax return preparers may use and disclose tax return information. We will not use or disclose your tax return information for any purpose other than preparing, or assisting in preparing, your return and providing the related professional services you have engaged us to perform, except as the law permits or as you authorize in a signed written consent.
Where a consent is requested, it will describe what is being disclosed, to whom, and for what purpose. You are not required to give consent as a condition of receiving tax return preparation services, and you may decline or limit a consent request.
06The Wealth Resilience Assessment
The Assessment is a complimentary, confidential, educational self-assessment. We use your answers to produce a high-level resilience profile and to determine whether a conversation or a Blueprint would be appropriate. Please do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, passwords, or similar identifiers in any Assessment response or free-text field. If a document review is appropriate, we will arrange a secure method for you to share it.
08Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal and financial information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These include access controls limited to personnel with a need to know, secure transmission and storage practices, and vendor oversight. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please do not send sensitive information, such as tax identification numbers or account credentials, by ordinary email or through the Site's general contact fields. We will provide a secure channel when it is needed.
09Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet our legal, regulatory, tax, and professional recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.
